Vanessa Holtz is Chief Executive Officer of Bank of America’s principal EU
broker dealer, BofA Securities Europe S.A. (“BofASE”) and France Country
Executive. She is responsible for the implementation of BofASE’s strategy.
Vanessa is also a member of Bank of America’s EMEA executive committee.
Vanessa arrived in Paris in 2019 as head of EU FICC Trading. She has been
instrumental in Bank of America’s pre-Brexit preparations and setting-up
BofASE in Paris.
As BofASE CEO and France Country Executive, Vanessa plays a critical role in
growing Bank of America’s European presence and is responsible for the
development and execution of Bank of America’s strategy and extensive
business activities across the European Union (Sales and Trading, Research,
Corporate and Investment Banking, Support and Control functions).
Vanessa has over 25 years of experience in the financial markets and prior to
joining Bank of America held several key positions leading and managing
foreign exchange trading desks including JP Morgan, Barclays Capital and ABN
AMRO.
Vanessa is a keen advocate of increasing the female talent on the trading floor
and is an active member and supporter of the bank’s Leadership, Educations,
Advocacy and Development network in the EMEA region. She is a recipient of
Bank of America’s Diversity and Inclusion manager award for the EMEA region
and continues to develop the company’s charitable partnerships in France.
In 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2021 Vanessa was recognised in Financial News’
100 Most Influential Women in European Finance list.
Vanessa holds a degree in finance from Sorbonne University and a master in
finance from ESSEC Business School.
