Born in 1963, a graduate of the École Polytechnique and École Nationale
d’Administration.
From 1987 to 1995, Frédéric Oudéa held a number of posts in the French
civil service, notably at the Audit department of the Ministry of Finance, in
the Ministry of the Economy and Finance, in the Budget department of the
Ministry of the Budget and in the Cabinet of the Minister of Budget and
Communication. In 1995, he joined Societe Generale group and
successively held the positions of Deputy Head and then Head of
Corporate Banking activities in London. In 1998, he became Head of
Global Supervision and Development of Equities. He was appointed
Deputy Chief Financial Officer of Societe Generale group in May 2002,
then Chief Financial Officer in January 2003. In 2008, he was appointed
Chief Executive Officer of the Group. From May 2009 to May 2015 he held
the posts of Chairman and Chief Executive Officer before the Board of
Directors separated the functions of Chairman of the Board of Directors
and Chief Executive Officer, and appointed Frédéric Oudéa Chief
Executive Officer.
